Q&A with Manoj Chandra – What is the “No Money Marketing” Workshop all about?

The Insperme team met up with Brand Guru and Marketing Strategist Mr. Manoj Chandra to learn more about his upcoming “No Money Marketing” workshop. Read on to know more:

“Sir, please tell us a little about yourself and why this workshop on ‘No Money Marketing’?”

Manoj Chandra: “Well I have worked over 30+ years across various sectors and have built many brands, but most of it was in large corporates. After I became an entrepreneur in 201I, I realised the huge struggle that startups and small businesses had with regards to their own brand building. They could not really grow fast and create a brand due to lack of knowledge, skills, expertise and specially budget. So in 2014, I set up my consulting practice – Insperme Consulting with a mission to inspire 100 entrepreneurs to grow faster and build their brand. So far we have worked with over 25 entrepreneurs and helped them create their brand and grow faster. This workshop is intended to reach our mission to many more entrepreneurs and inspire them.”

 

 

“So what are the issues that startups & small businesses face?”

Manoj Chandra : “Well, the biggest challenge I think is growth. Most small businesses are able to get off the ground, primarily driven by the passion of the entrepreneur. But, soon they face the challenge of scale & growth. This probably sets in due to many reasons, one of them being the lack of understanding of brand building & marketing. Being an early stage business, they do not have access to expertise and do not have budgets. Hence, they struggle with growth and do end up wasting budgets & resources on unproductive areas.”

“Can you tell us who this workshop is most relevant for?”

Manoj Chandra : “This workshop is specially designed for CEOs, Business Owners, Promoters & Entrepreneurs of early stage and small businesses. Although, I have found same challenges even for promoters and CEOs of some large businesses and corporates also.”

“I see. So tell us what these guys will really learn in your workshop?”

Manoj Chandra : “Well, the first thing is most businesses struggle with how to build their Brand identity and use it for Business Success. We help them learn this very important aspect of branding. Then we talk about how to use simple tools to spread their Brand message to reach many many more people. Many promoters, specially those who are not from the millennial generation, struggle with going Digital. We help them learn how to make use of the internet and go digital. Websites that work, Google Search, Social Media. For most small businesses, their success is hinged on acquiring new customers. So we help them learn the secrets of Lead generation & creating Referrals. I have seen that while many people use agencies and get leads generated, but the conversion rate is very poor and the costs go high. We specially focus on this and help them learn not only how to generate leads but also how to manage and convert them.”

“You also talk about something called “Sphere of Influence”. Can you explain that also?”

Manoj Chandra: “Well all of us build our sphere of influence, much like friends on Facebook. If we actually focus on that, each of us have thousands of people in our large circles. In the workshop, we teach you how to manage this Circle of Influence and use it for building your brand. The most important aspect of brand building that we talk about in the workshop is how to make your Brand loved by Your Consumers. Customers are the most important aspect of a business and most of us end up not focusing on them. We help you learn how to manage this process and create a strong customer relationship management process in your business to ensure that you have great brand loyalty.”

“Sir, I believe that many people find it difficult to learn at a mature age. Also, many people believe that just attending a workshop doesn’t really help you take back the learnings. How do you address this challenge?”

Manoj Chandra : “A very good question. I have realised this challenge myself attending many seminars and workshops myself. So we have designed the workshop to be simple & interesting.
