SME Knowledge Series on Marketing 1.1
In my time spent working with many SME business owners and entrepreneurs, one question which keeps popping up always is about Customers – how to attract new ones and how not to lose existing ones. Anyone who asks me this immediately attracts my attention and respect, as I believe the sole reason for any business to exist is customers and any entrepreneur who is focused around this is bound to succeed. But the questions keep pouring and the answers are needed. So I decided to start putting a small effort in creating a set of knowledge articles which help in explaining all the concepts, strategies, tools that are needed to be understood to grapple with the enigma, that is the customer.
Starting with the topic of Lead Generation, over the next few weeks, I will try and capture the essence behind this. So keep reading and hope that you gain some. Please send in your feedback to me here.
How to grow your business with Lead Generation?
Back in the time, when someone needed something, as we can say, a new coffee maker, they’d just go to a store, ask the salesperson about the best coffeemaker and would purchase it. But if we look at the same situation now, it’s different; the digital world has taken over all the sectors. So, for now, if someone would like to buy a television, they’d probably go online check the product and then instantly look for reviews, suggestions, pricing or recommendations. They’d prefer purchasing a television, which suits their requirement & budget.
Selling a business idea is exactly the same as selling a coffeemaker; generating a business idea is a great starting point, but converting that idea into an effort and profits is a challenge. One of the essential key factors to keep your business growing is building up a “good” relationship with the customers. This is very similar to the fact that if your store provides a perfect coffeemaker, which makes coffee & is budget friendly, the customer will come back to your store again.
Now, we come to a point where you’d be wondering how to attract the customers for your business growth. This process is known as Lead Generation.
Customer Relationship Management
How you grow your business with lead generation depends on how quick and witty you’re with your words, what services you provide, how comfortable you’re with your customers. The entire process of building up a relationship or a repo with your customers is known as Customer Relationship Management.
Since the world is being tech-handy now, entrepreneurs and businessmen have to be very smart with how they interact with their existing customers, how do they convince their potential customers and generate the much-needed leads for the success of your business.
